Who are you?
We are a group of highly trained victim assistance specialists (VAS) who are dedicated to assisting victims. Each VAS has over eighty hours of training on victim’s rights, types of crime and potential solutions. We are passionate about our cause and intentional in our actions to connect underserved victims of crime to the services they need.

When can I access services?
DC Victim Hotline services are accessible 24/7 via phone, chat and text message.
What topics are covered?
Victims of crime have a variety of needs from the simple to the complex. We can assist callers with locating referrals for mental health counseling, financial compensation, legal services, civil justice options, support groups, crime reporting, identity theft recovery and more.
What if I speak another language?
We have both English and Spanish-speaking victim assistance specialists. Any specialist can also access an interpreter for more than 200 languages, and hearing- and speech-impaired individuals can reach us using 711.
What information will I need to provide?
Our services are completely anonymous and you do not need to share any personally identifying information. For victims seeking local services we may ask for your city and state to provide the best possible referrals.
